Salton Sea State Park and Visitor Center This is the official state park in the Salton Sea. It has camping, hiking, beach, and fishing access. The park offers some crazy experiences such as a beach that is basically only dead fish, bones, and gills. You have to see it to believe it.

The Salton Sea State Recreation Area has hundreds of day use sites, a boat ramp and wash area, trails, a visitor center (open during peak season), a play area for the kids, and fishing jettys. During the season, Rangers offer guided tours in the park's interpretive boat to view the birds for which the Recreation Area is famous.
